Since 1984, ACKSYS Communications & Systems is specialized in the design and supply of data communication equipments including wireless network solutions, serial MODBUS to MODBUS/TCP data gateways, serial device servers (Ethernet, USB & WiFi), media converters, serial communication controllers, MIL-STD-1553 & HDLC for avionics test and simulation.

The keystone of the company is our four fundamental values: longevity, performance, reliability and quality, to satisfy the most severe requirements of factory and building automation, oil and gas industry, rail, on-road and marine transportation fields.

Through the distributor network, ACKSYS is present in 20 countries throughout North America , Europe , South Africa , Middle East , South-East Asia and Australia.

Longevity

The deployment and maintenance of equipment over several years has been an insoluble problem for integrators because of the increasingly rapid development of technology, and the lack of interest that the majority of people pay to the longevity of their systems.

Aware of this problem, ACKSYS undertook to offer their clients telecommunications solutions with life spans of between 5 and 10 years.

So as to ensure such a sustainability, they have based their work on three major axes:

Thus, the MCC board, the first intelligent communication board designed by ACKSYS back in 1987, is still present in our catalogue.
Although enriched by many innovations, of which a processor speed and a doubled memory size, it is still strictly compatible with the early models. A version for PCI bus of this board was developed in 2000 to meet the request of a long-standing customer.

In addition to longevity, ACKSYS proposes a manufacturer stability commitment.
Thus software and/or material versions can be fixed according to the needs of our customers.

Reliability

ACKSYS products have a 5-year or lifetime guarantee, depending on the particular product, and conform to European standards. All of our boards are subjected to a systematic climatic testing to prove their robustness and resistance to variations in temperature and power.

ACKSYS products are designed to last and are used in harsh environments (French Navy submarines and frigates, embedded rail systems and civil and military airports).

Their failure rate on all the production is lower than 0.2%.

Warranty

All ACKSYS products "finished and in ready to use" delivered as boards for ISA, PCI & Compact PCI buses or in box within case profit from a 5 years warranty or life-time warranty according to cases and as from the date of purchase.

All ACKSYS cabled products delivered and requiring a complement of wiring to make them operational profit from a 6 months warranty as from the date of purchase (example: Cometh-embd, wireless OEM modules).

Assistance & Support

ACKSYS provides high quality documentation with all of its products, and offers direct, live access to the designers of these products.

ACKSYS also provide pre-sales consultancy for project development, a choice of suitable products and solutions, help with specification during the project study phase and assistance at the final integration phase.
